The Master study program in Food Science starts in spring and fall semester.

Structure

The Master study program Food Science offers four majors:

With the selection of one Major (core subject) and two Minors (subsidiary subject) or a Minor and electives, the student defines the focus of his/her education.


The Master program compromises 90 Credit points (CP).

The following table shows an overview of the Master degree curriculum.

Master Thesis

Major 40 CP  

  disciplinary subjects 20 CP

  methodical subjects

  optional subjects

Minor I 10 CP    
Minor II or elective
10 CP    

Professional training course is optional.

Certificate

Applications for the Master degree can be put in the student administration office at any time. There it will be reviewed, the certificates will be printed in German/English and sent to the Rectorate. The Rectorate issuses the Diploma certificates periodically (approximately twice per semester). The student administration office issuses certificates in German/English which will be acctepted for job applications.
