Elective Courses

  • Elective courses can be freely chosen according to personal preferences from the catalogue of electives.
  • Electives that are not listed in the catalogue must be approved by the study delegate upon written request.
  • Electives generally serve the purpose of extending students’ knowledge according to individual interests and can be chosen to help focus on a certain study direction.
  • For completion of the Bachelor’s programme at least 17 credit points (regulation 2013), 16 credit points (regulation 2017) or 14 creidt points (regulation 2020) have to be taken in the form of elective courses whereby only a maximum of 6 credit points may be included from sports training education.

Science in Perspective

  • The study programme Science in Perspective is offered by the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences.
  • The aim of these courses is to make the connection between expertise and action and societal and economic issues.
  • For the completion of the Bachelor’s programme at least 6 credit points have to be taken in the area of Science in Perspective.
  • Courses in educational science which are part of the Teacher-Training (Teacher`s diploma, Didactic Certificate) can also be counted as Science in Perspective courses.
