Awards for Master students in Food Science
At the Master celebration of the study programmes Agricultural Sciences and Food Science, held online on 3 June 2021, the following prizes were awarded to graduates in Food Science:
Willi Studer prize
Anne Sarbach, MSc ETH Lm, best overall average garade 2020.
ETH medal
Alessa Perotti, MSc ETH Lm. Thesis title: "Moving Towards a Sustainable Swiss Food System: An Estimation of the True Cost of Food in Switzerland and Implications for Stakeholders", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Johan Six (D-USYS) and Dr. Martijn Sonnevelt, World Food System Center.
Hochdorf prize
Dominik Hug, MSc ETH Lm, for his outstanding master's thesis entitled : "Experimental characterization of coalescence in a new high pressure homogenization process", supervised by Prof. Erich Windhab and Prof. Peter Fischer, Laboratory of Food Process Engineering.
SGLWT prize
Aline Schneider, MSc ETH Lm, for her outstanding master's thesis entitled "Designing and producing micro(be)-beads as smart building blocks for gut microbial biotherapeutic production", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Christophe Lacroix and Dr. Annelies Geirnaert, Laboratory for Food Biotechnology.
