ETH medal award for four doctoral theses at D-HEST

In 2022, four dotoral theses at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology were awarded awarded the ETH medal for their outstanding quality.

  • Susanne Meile for her thesis entitled "Engineering of virulent Enterococcus phages as precision antimicrobials", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Martin Loessner, Institute of Food, Nutrition and Health
  • Dario Pfyffer for his thesis "Investigation of structural, functional, and metabolic magnetic resonance biomarkers in the spinal cord and brain after spinal cord injury", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Nicole Wenderoth, Institute of Human Movement Sciences and Sport
  • Deepak Ravi for his thesis "Benchmarking human locomotor adaptation in time and magnitude: from perturbations to recovery", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Bill Taylor, Institute for Biomechanics
  • Sina Schalbetter for her thesis "Establishment and Characterization of Transient Prefrontal Microglia Depletion in Mice", carried out under the supervision of Prof. Johannes Bohacek, Institute for Neuroscience
